Performance Training in Hillsdale, MI
Train Hard. Stay in the Game Longer.
A DACBSP-certified sports chiropractor with a CSCS can build programs and tell you exactly what in your movement is setting you up for injury.

Training Hard Without a Clinical Eye Behind Your Programming
Recurring Injuries That Break Your Training Cycles
Most recurring injuries are not bad luck — they are predictable patterns in movement and load that an experienced eye can spot and correct before they become setbacks. Training without that lens means repeating the cycle.
A Performance Ceiling You Cannot Seem to Break Through
Effort without structure stops producing results. A sustainable performance program requires progressive, individualized programming built around your specific body, history, and goals — not a generic template applied to everyone.
No One Who Understands Both Sport and the Body
Personal trainers build programs. Chiropractors assess movement. Very few can do both with clinical-grade credentialing. If your training needs to account for a history of injury, you need someone who operates across both lanes.
Why Performance Training at Build Beyond Health Is Different
Performance training at Build Beyond Health integrates CSCS-certified strength and conditioning with DACBSP-level clinical assessment. That means the provider building your program can also identify and address the movement faults most likely to derail your training.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about performance training at Build Beyond Health.
How is this different from working with a personal trainer?
A personal trainer builds programs. Our provider builds programs and can clinically assess the movement patterns most likely to lead to injury. The CSCS credential represents the gold standard in strength and conditioning — not personal training — and your program reflects that level of rigor and individualization.
Can someone with a history of recurring injury follow a performance program?
Yes — and this is exactly where the clinical-performance combination matters most. Your history is not a barrier; it is context for building a smarter program. Movement faults and load tolerances are assessed and addressed as part of the programming process, not ignored or worked around.
Is performance training only for competitive athletes?
No. Performance training at Build Beyond Health is for any active adult who wants to train with structure and purpose — whether you compete, run recreationally, train at a CrossFit gym, or simply want to stay strong and injury-free as you age. The program is built around your goals.
I just finished rehab. Can I move straight into performance training?
In many cases, yes. Completing a plan of care and transitioning into performance programming is a natural arc here. Your provider knows your history, your movement, and your baseline — which makes the performance phase more targeted and more effective than starting fresh with a new provider.
Do you accept insurance?
Build Beyond Health is a cash-based practice. We accept payment in full or installments, and HSA/FSA cards are welcome. Superbills are available upon request for patients pursuing out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is determined by your insurance plan and is not guaranteed by our clinic.
